James McNelis is a self taught artist who lives in St. Paul, MN with his wife (recording artist Rebekka Fisher). McNelis describes his interest in art as "something I picked up while in the army". He says, "Although, my work follows no current trends or styles, it has been included in many corporate and private collections". He has also received a Minnesota State Arts Board grant in 1987 for his unique work with Polaroid SX-70 instant prints.
